PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier film the water vapor permeability of which can be easily evaluated in a short period of time.SOLUTION: In a first embodiment, a gas barrier film is provided in which a [A] layer 2 is disposed on at least one side of a polymer substrate 1, a calcium (Ca)-containing inspection part 3 is provided on the [A] layer 2, and the [A] layer 2 has, as a main constituent, a compound comprising at least 1 element among the metal elements belonging to groups 3 to 14 of the periodic table, and preferably the thickness of the Ca-containing inspection part 3 is in the range of 10 to 500 nm. In a second embodiment, a gas barrier film is provided which is identical to the gas barrier film in the first embodiment except that the Ca-containing inspection part 3 is sealed with a [B] layer 4 which is a metal layer containing at least 1 element among the metal elements belonging to groups 3 to 14 of the periodic table, or with a [C] layer composed of an oxide, nitride or oxynitride of the metal or a mixture thereof. In a third embodiment, a gas barrier film 1 is provided which is identical to the barrier film 1 in the first or the second embodiment except that the [A] layer 2 is further disposed on the [B] layer 4 and [C] layer 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
