METHOD FOR TREATING WASTEWATER FROM RADIOACTIVE LAUNDRY USING R/O AND UV/H2O2 AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PURPOSE: Provided are a method for treating wastewater from radioactive laundry using R/O(Reverse osmosis) and UV/H2O2(Photo-Oxidation) and apparatus therefor. In this method, insoluble particles and detergent in wastewater are pretreated through MF(Micro Filter) & UV/H2O2 process, therefore radioactive substances are effectively captured in R/O membrane. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: filtrating insoluble particles in wastewater from radioactive laundry through MF(S1); after adding H2O2 thereto, passing radioactive wastewater through UV reactor, in which OH radicals activated by UV radiation decompose detergent(S2); passing the radioactive wastewater through R/O membranes, in which radioactive substances except water are screened(S3); passing wastewater through ion exchange resin, in which trace radioactive substances that might remain are captured(S4); treating condensed water that recovered from step 3 by using CWDS (Condensed Wastewater Drying System) and/or evaporator(S5).
