<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand-written image display system that performs virtual writing into a desired space and can record the written contents together with information about the writing position. <P>SOLUTION: The hand-written image display system comprises an image input section 1 for inputting written image obtained by imaging hand-writing onto a virtual surface, a hand-writing extraction section 2 for obtaining a hand-written image by extracting a handwritten trajectory from the written image by image processing, a relative coordinate detecting section 3 for detecting the relative coordinate about the written position of the hand-written image, an image recording section 4 for recording the hand-written image together with the relative coordinate, and a hand-written image display device having an image display section 20 for displaying the hand-written image and a combiner for reflecting light from the image display section 20 and passing light from a real visual field in the user's visual field direction.
