<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone capable of accurately holding up a proximity type non-contact communication section incorporated into the portable telephone without taking time to a reader by a user for the portable telephone. <P>SOLUTION: The portable telephone 1 is incorporated into a box body 11, has the proximity type non-contact communication section 13 transmitted from the rear 12 of the box body 11 and receives information transmitted from the proximity type non-contact communication section 13 by holding up the rear 12 to a receiving section for the reader.
