<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device wherein pixel capacities of all sub pixels are made to be equal to reduce problems of the occurrence of flickering and burning and white display of high purity is made attainable in the liquid crystal display device wherein a sub pixel having a color and having an area of a pixel electrode different from that of the other sub pixels exists. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device 10A having a plurality of pixels each comprising the sub pixels having a plurality of colors R, G, B and C and having at least one color sub pixel (e.g. C and G) having the pixel electrode area different from that of the sub pixels having the other colors (e.g. R and G), the sum of the liquid crystal capacitance and the auxiliary capacitance in all color sub pixels is made to be substantially equal by making the auxiliary capacitance of at least one color sub pixel different from that of the other color sub pixels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
