<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform substitutive power feeding from another power source that is not used, in the case that abnormality occurs in a power source being used in a predetermined operation mode in an image processing apparatus which drives various processing units by means of individual power sources. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus comprises: a plurality of processing units 6-8, 6a, 7a, 8a, 8b, 8c each of which individually operates with any one of a plurality of sub power sources 222-224, 226, 227, 229 as a power source; and a power source abnormality detecting means for detecting abnormality of each of power sources. If abnormality in any arbitrary sub power source is detected by the power source abnormality detecting means while any arbitrary operation mode is designated and executed by an operation mode designating means 64, an electrification control means 62 performs switch changeover of a power source relay section 60, thereby selecting another sub power source that is not being used as a power source during the operation mode under execution, and supplying power to the processing unit for which the sub power source where the abnormality is detected, is a power source, as a substitutive power source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
