<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire and display a playback position of a video content without inserting special information showing the playback position into a video stream. <P>SOLUTION: When a playback mode management part 120 receives a playback instruction of a stream via a remote control signal reception part 121, it performs control so that: a video server control unit 119 acquires the stream from the video server; a multiplex separation part 112 extracts a time stamp acquired by the video server from the stream; a playback position table acquisition means 118 acquires a playback position table showing correlation between the time stamp multiplexed to the stream and a playback position of the video content; and a playback position calculation part 116 inquires the playback position table acquired by the playback position table acquisition means 118 about the time stamp extracted by the multiplex separation part 112 to obtain a playback position of the stream. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
