<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lithium cobalt oxide particle powder excelling in load property and cycle property. <P>SOLUTION: A lithium ion battery excelling in heat stability, load property and cycle property can be manufactured by using as positive electrode substance the lithium cobalt oxide particle powder: which can be obtained by mixing and calcinating cobalt oxide in which an average particulate diameter in a primary particle is 1.0 μm or less, zirconium material and lithium material; in which Zr compounds exist locally on a surface without existing inside the particle; chemical formula for the Zr compounds is expressed by Lix(Zr1-yAy)Oz(x, y and z are 2.0≤x≤8.0, 0≤y≤1.0, 2.0≤z≤6.0); and contained ratio for Zr is 0.05 to 1.0 wt%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
