<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of yielding a vivid image by removing moisture adhering to a photoreceptor, and also removing the moisture adhering to the photoreceptor with simple constitution without causing upsizing of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 includes: the photoreceptor 41 which has an amorphous silicon photoreceptive layer 41b on its surface and on which an electrostatic latent image based on image data is formed; an electrifier 42 which is disposed toward the photoreceptive layer 41b of the rotating photoreceptor 41 and electrifies the photoreceptive layer 41b; and a developing device 21. The developing device 21 has: a developing roller 11 disposed at the lower part of the image forming apparatus 100 with respect to the rotary shaft center T of the photoreceptor 41 and arranged to be opposed to the photoreceptive layer 41b so as to supply toner; and a housing 5 in which the developing roller 11 and a regulating blade 12 are held.
