<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: a recent image forming apparatus has developed in multifunction, has a functional list screen for selecting a function in addition to a basic function list screen and allows a user to use the functional list screen to selectively switch either a regular display mode in which all function selection keys are disposed or a simple display mode in which only highly frequently used function selection keys are disposed, thereby allowing the user to select the function in the regular display mode for the setting of a complex function or select the function in the simple display mode for the setting of a simple function, however the user has no other choice of selecting only the regular mode when the simple function and the complex functions are simultaneously set. <P>SOLUTION: Even when switching takes place from the regular display mode to the simple display mode after the function is set and then a function selection key is inverted and displayed or when switching takes place from the regular mode to the simple display mode, the function selection key corresponding to the switched display mode is inverted and displayed, and the mode therefore can be switched according to a function to be selected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
