The present invention discloses a modular casket that is easy to assemble and can be assembled with few or no tools is disclosed. The casket comprises a number of injection molded plastic pieces that can be snap-fit together. The casket is relatively compact and lightweight and is conducive to shipping and storage, yet has sufficient strength for its intended purpose. The present invention also discloses a method for making a casket having an integral image that is incorporated into one or more casket parts. A film having an image is adhered to the exterior of a casket. In one aspect, a lenticular or holographic image can be used. In one aspect, the present invention provides a way to provide a sophisticated, elegant, faux stone finish to a casket.
