摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel consumption by quickly returning a diesel engine after an automatic stop condition is canceled to a normal combustion control while minimizing a load for reducing an ignition delay, when the automatic stop condition is canceled during braking due to establishment of the automatic stop condition. SOLUTION: This device comprises an operation condition judging part 101 having at least a function for judging whether an automatic stop condition and a restarting condition is formed or not, and judging an operation condition of a vehicle mounting an engine 10, combustion control means 102, 103 for controlling combustion of the engine 10 based on the judgment of the operation condition judging part 101, a plurality of ignition delay reduction means with different properties for reducing an ignition delayτ<SB>id</SB>of the engine 10, and ignition delay control means for selectively driving and controlling a plurality of the ignition delay reduction means. The ignition delay control means selects a highest temperature-increasing effect in a cylinder out of the plurality of ignition reduction means when the automatic stop condition is canceled and an immediate response demand is high to the cancel factor.
