A disc for a disc brake of the ventilated type' comprising a braking band (2) defined by two flanges (3,4), which are mutually facing and spaced apart to form an interspace (5), inside which ventilation channels (10) are delimited for cooling the disc. Each channel extends from at least one inlet (11) formed on an inner edge of the braking band up to at least an outlet (12) formed on an outer edge of the braking band. The disc comprises closure means (20,21,22,23) for reversibly closing the inlets (11) of all, or at least a part of, the ventilation channels. Such closure means are sensitive to the temperature of the braking band in such a way that, when the temperature of the braking band exceeds a predefined threshold value, they automatically move from a closed position of the inlets, in which the air flow through the inlets is prevented or at least limited, to at least one open position of the inlets, in which a complete air flow through the inlets is allowed, and vice versa. |
