The invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing: - one or more linear alpha-olefin sulfonates; - one or more anionic surfactants in the composition in an amount of 1 to 20 wt%; and - one or more additional surfactants selected from amphoteric surfactants and non-ionic surfactants. The weight ratio of the amount of linear alpha-olefin sulfonates to the amount of anionic surfactants is greater than or equal to 1. The invention also relates to a cosmetic treatment method using said composition, particularly a method for cleaning keratin material and/or keratin material care.
