PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality stereoscopic image having improved print quality and rugged quality.SOLUTION: In a stereoscopic image forming method: a releasable peeling layer is formed on a foaming and expanding surface of a medium foaming and expanding according to the amount of absorbed heat before the medium foams and expands and a heat absorbing part absorbing thermal energy easier than the medium is formed on the peeling layer before the medium foams and expands (steps S11 and S12); and thermal energy is radiated to the heat absorbing part (step S13).
