PURPOSE: A component feeder for an electronic component mounting apparatus and a component feeding method for the electronic component mounting apparatus are provided to drive a tape feeder in a different driving method without improving a component feeder. CONSTITUTION: In a component feeder for an electronic component mounting apparatus and a component feeding method for the electronic component mounting apparatus, a knock pin(11) releases a component receiving tape and a knock cylinder drives the knock pin. A tape feeder releases the component receiving tape and transfers it, or selects one of tape feeders of an electrical driving mode. A tape transfer unit includes an ascending mechanism for transferring the component receiving tape to a first position and a second position. |
