In order to obtain a solar cell element having exceptional reliability and producibility while maintaining high photoelectric conversion efficiency, a solar cell element (10) is provided with: a semiconductor substrate (1) having a p-type semiconductor region on one surface; a passivation layer (9) containing aluminum oxide, the passivation layer (9) being positioned on the p-type semiconductor region; and a protective layer (11) containing polysiloxane that has an alkyl group, the protective layer (11) being positioned on the passivation layer (9). |
