Disclosed herein is the use of a compound of formula (II), wherein the substituents are as defined within the specification, in the manufacture of a medicament for inhibiting or reducing angiogenesis. Compounds employed according to the present disclosure exhibit good anti-angiogenic activity as well as demonstrate a prophylactic effect for preventing and substantially reducing angiogenesis. A preferred compound for use is Amiodarone.
