<p>The invention concerns a method for receiving and displaying audio-visual programmes broadcast by a network. The broadcasts consist of events and short programmes having a dinstinctive element, said short programmes being broadcast by services identifiable by said distinctive element. At some time specified by the broadcaster, a sequence is broadcast on the network, it is replaced at the receiver display by another sequence extracted from a service broadcasting short programmes. The selection of that service is made at receiver level. To avoid the occurrence of a blank screen between the sequence transmitted by the network and the short programmes, the receiver send to the screen a filler programme. The invention also concerns a digital television receiver set for implementing the method.</p> |
