PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lathe with an automatic tool changing device excellent in holding rigidity of a tool, with no interference of the tool and a work and with no limitation of the number of the tools free to change. SOLUTION: This lathe with the automatic tool changing device has a slide 15 free to relatively move in the X axial direction and in the Z axial direction against a work spindle stock 12, a tool holder 18 provided on the slide 15 and to hold the tools and the tool changing device 20 to store a plurality number of the tools and to divide each of the tools to a tool changing position. The tool holder 18 is furnished with one tool spindle 19 free to revolve on a flat surface X-Z and as a tool insertion part, and the tool spindle 19 is fixed on the tool holder 18. |
