PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic sampler which keeps contaminants from adhering to a needle cleaned with a cleaning port. SOLUTION: The apparatus is constituted of a cleaning container 2 with a introduction tube 2b of a washing solution, a discharge pipe 2c and a needle insertion port 2a and an opening-closing mechanism 3 comprising a motor 36, gears 32 and 33 and an open-close lid 31. The motor 36 is driven by a control signal 18a to open the needle insertion port 2a by making the open-close lid 31 vertical during the cleaning of the needle. During the periods other than the cleaning period, the needle insertion port 2a is closed by making the open- close lid 31 horizontal. This eliminates contact between the needle 6 and contaminants while preventing the evaporation of the cleaning solution. |
