Wireless data communication method and apparatus using two electromagnetic signals having different polarizations. The signals are modulated using phase shift keying and amplitude shift keying. The amplitude shift keying modulates the two electromagnetic signals by changing the difference between their two amplitudes in accordance with data encodings.
