<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PET apparatus in which discriminant processing of coincidence is not influenced, even increasing a number of detectors. <P>SOLUTION: In the present PET apparatus, multi-detectors 1 are placed around the examined objects so as to detect two photons generated when a positron by collapse of a radioactive isotope which doses test objects is pair-annihilated with electrons. Particularly, a detecting system consists of a control circuit 2 including a clock counter therein and of an event memory 3 for memorizing the counts by the clock counter concerned for arrival of detected signals from detectors as event is placed every prescribed number of detectors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
