A method and device for driving an organic electroluminescent display are disclosed. In the method of driving an organic EL display using pulse width modulation type driving pulses, the driving pulses are output, with output reference points of driving current in one horizontal period being differently set for columns, output reference points of driving current for some pixels being set to an end point of the horizontal period.
