PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating discharge-type print head which stabilizes a printing level. SOLUTION: The heating discharge-type print head 1 for applying a negative ion particularly stabilizes the printing level, when the fall timing of a signal wave associated with a discharging-electrode voltage application signal is set near the OFF-timing of a signal wave associated with a strobe signal corresponding to the discharging-electrode voltage application signal. The print head 1, which is constituted to apply a positive ion, particularly stabilizes the printing level, when the build up timing of the signal wave discharging-electrode voltage application signal is set near the OFF-timing of the signal wave associated with the strobe signal corresponding to the discharging-electrode voltage application signal.
