PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an aluminum cladding material excellent in preventability of edge cracking by which highly accurate clad rate is obtained by reducing the variation of the clad rate of upper and lower surface materials of a clad material. SOLUTION: This method includes manufacturing the aluminum cladding material by which hot rolling is performed after cladding the surface materials on both faces of a core material and edge rolling is performed by using a vertical roll. In the method of manufacturing the aluminum clad material excellent in the preventability of the edge cracking, an angle formed with the roll surface of the vertical roll and the clad surface on one side and an angle formed with the roll surface and the clad surface on the other side are approximately the same angle.
