<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dried gel sheet that is excellent in breaking strength and water absorbability, is quickly restored to a water-swellable gel sheet by being impregnated with an aqueous solution when in use, and allows preparation of the water-swellable gel sheet excellent in breaking strength, extensibility, and adherability. <P>SOLUTION: The dried gel sheet contains at least one of kinds of mannans, selected from the group consisting of a xanthan gum, a glucomannan, and a galactomannan, as a gelling agent. An aqueous solution containing a xanthan gum and mannans is molded into a sheet form. Then, it is dried and adjusted so that the moisture activity value is ≤0.6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
