<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sarcosine oxidase that is obtained by modifying a sarcosine oxidase activity-having protein by a protein engineering method and has improved stability in liquid, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide a use thereof. <P>SOLUTION: Provided are a modified sarcosine oxidase in which the 233-cysteine in the amino acid sequence of the sarcosine oxidase is replaced with serine; a gene encoding the modified sarcosine oxidase; a transformant; a method for producing the modified sarcosine oxidase; creatine containing the same; and a reagent for measuring the creatine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
