PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability of a powder-containing emulsion formulation-type external preparation for skin, by providing a technology of adding lower alcohols such as ethanol to the powder-containing emulsion formulation-type external preparation for skin without injuring stability. SOLUTION: The emulsion formulation-type external preparation for skin comprises (1) a powder and (2) a lower alcohol, and (3) a glycerol-modified methylpolysiloxane (polyglyceryl-3-polydimethylsiloxyethyl dimethicone) is added to the external preparation for skin.
