PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a free traveling distance before a driver of a tractor steps on a brake pedal by preventing a snaking phenomenon by applying a braking force by an electromagnetic brake only to a trailer only when applying an engine brake to a tractor side, and to easily perform predetermined braking control for preventing the snaking phenomenon by using an existing braking device to the tractor and the trailer. SOLUTION: A tractor side acceleration sensor 11 and a trailer-side acceleration sensor 12 for detecting respective acceleration are mounted to a tractor 1 and a trailer 2, respectively. It is detected on the tractor side whether or not brake operation by a brake pedal 14 is performed. When the operation is not performed, the acceleration of the tractor detected by the tractor-side acceleration sensor is compared with the acceleration of the trailer detected by the trailer-side acceleration sensor. When the latter acceleration is larger than the former acceleration, an electromagnetic brake 21 mounted to the trailer is operated to brake the trailer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
