PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record a high-quality image while achieving reduction of cost. SOLUTION: An inkjet printer includes a conveying mechanism to convey paper by rotating a conveying roller by a conveying motor, an encoder to output a pulse signal with the rotation of the conveying roller, and an inkjet head to eject an ink droplet to the conveyed paper. A conveying motor control part controls drive of the conveying motor 19 based on a pulse signal of the encoder passing through an LPF having frequency characteristic of cutoff frequency f1. A head control part controls the ejection timing of the ink droplet of the inkjet head based on the pulse signal of the encoder passing through the LPF having frequency characteristic of cutoff frequency f2 higher than the cutoff frequency f1.
