PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which performs robust metal extraction to a scattered ray.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus comprises: an acquisition part which pays attention to one of voxels constituting volume data and acquires a pixel value of a projection image inversely projected to the voxel of attention or a measurement image for at least a partial projection angle; and an identification part which obtains a feature amount from the plurality of pixel values acquired by the acquisition part and identifies whether the voxel of attention is inside a metal region or outside the metal region on the basis of the feature amount, changes the voxel of attention between at least portions of voxels constituting the volume data and performs the acquisition processing by the acquisition part and the identification processing by the identification part with respect to each changed voxel of attention.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10A
