PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to the stabilization of the waist constraint performance of a lower-side bag part.SOLUTION: In a side airbag device 10 for a vehicle, a gas injected from an inflator 22 is distributed to a lower-side bag part 36, a front-side bag part 38 and a rear-side bag part 40 of a side airbag 20, and the bag parts 36, 38 and 40 are expanded and deployed. A waist L of an occupant P is constrained by the lower-side bag part 36 which has relatively-high pressure. Here, displacement suppression means (reaction plate 54 and pocket 56) are arranged between a side frame 15 of a seat back 14 and the lower-side bag part 36. The displacement suppression means suppresses that the lower-side bag part 36 is displaced to an upper side of a vehicle in a preset expansion/deployment-scheduled region at expansion and deployment. By this constitution, the waist L can be constrained as set by the lower-side bag part 36 which is located in the expansion/deployment-scheduled region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
