<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint that can suppress enlargement and damage to a pipe while preventing the pipe from slipping off due to the erroneous operation of a release ring. <P>SOLUTION: The pipe joint 10 includes a cap 18 inserted on the outside of an intermediate part 14 of a joint body 16, and a lock ring 30 arranged at a position to face an insertion hole 20 for inserting the pipe 40. The inside of the cap 18 is provided with the release ring 22 releasing the bite of a claw part 36 of the lock ring 30 into the pipe 40 when pushed into inside the insertion hole 20, on the inlet 20A side from the lock ring 30. The cap 18 is provided with a through-hole 19 for inserting a shaft part 26A of a pin 26, and the release ring 22 is provided with a hole part 23 communicating with the through-hole 19. The shaft part 26A of the pin 26 is inserted into the through-hole 19 and the hole part 23.
