The invention relates to a vibration damper (1) having an oil-filled damper tube (10) in which a damper piston (11) is guided along a vibration damper (1) longitudinal axis (12) in a reciprocally-movable manner, separating a first working chamber (A) from a second working chamber (B) within said damper tube (10), and comprising a piston rod (13) that is connected to the damper piston (11) and is fed out of said damper tube (10) in a sealed manner, a valve assembly (14) through which the oil can flow being provided corresponding to the second working chamber (B) and separating an antechamber (15) from said second working chamber (B), and an equaliser unit (16) being provided which comprises a gas-filled equaliser chamber (17) movably separated from said antechamber (15) by means of a dividing piston (18). According to the invention, the equaliser chamber (17) is formed in a guide tube (19) that extends transversely to the longitudinal axis (12), the dividing piston (18) being received so as to be guided in a reciprocally-movable manner in said guide tube (19), and the valve assembly (14) being received in said equaliser unit (16). |
