<p>Children's ride-on vehicles that include a detection system adapted to detect a condition of the vehicle. In some embodiments, a drive assembly restricts, based on the detection system detecting the condition, driving of a driven wheel to less than all drive configurations of a plurality of drive configurations. In some embodiments, a steering assembly is adapted to restrict, based on the detection system detecting the condition, steering of a steerable wheel by inputs received from a child. In some embodiments, the condition includes at least one of whether an accessory is coupled to the body of the vehicle, an ambient environmental condition proximate to the vehicle, orientation of the vehicle, a position of the seat among a plurality of seat positions, and a weight of a child supported by the seat. Examples of accessories include training wheels, a back rest, a wheelie bar, a parent-assist handle, and a hood.</p> |
