Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods 800, 1100 and 1000 optimizing geometries. In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method 1000 is provided. The method includes receiving, at a programed computing device, a geometry comprising a plurality of edges 1010 and selecting a set of edges from the plurality of edges based on an intersecting location in which two or more the edges intersect 1020. For each edge of the set of edges, a density is determined that corresponds to the intersecting location for the set of edges 1030. The method further includes determining a target density related to the intersecting location in view of an aggregate of the density associated with respective edges of the set of edges 1040. The target density indicates a gradient of a falloff for the intersecting location. |
