PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning robot for performing wipe-cleaning or polish-cleaning efficiently by coating a floor with a detergent.SOLUTION: A cleaning robot includes: a movement drive robot; a controller configured to operate the robot; a robot casing including the maximum width along a direction vertical to an advance direction of the robot and a side edge on a line of the maximum width; a cleaning head that is disposed in front of a drive wheel in an advance direction of the robot and is extended up to the side edge nearly along the line of the maximum width; a scrubber element to be driven extending up to a position essentially within 1 cm from the side edge nearly along the line of the maximum width; an electric scrubber including a drive element configured to drive the scrubber element to be driven by vibration; and a spray nozzle configured to coating a cleaning surface with a detergent. In the cleaning robot, the scrubber element to be driven is held while being in contact with the cleaning surface, and is a pad or sheet for performing wipe-cleaning or polish-cleaning by utilizing friction generated at an area to the cleaning surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
