The present invention relates to a method for flanging of an at least two-layer material (1, 2; 301, 302, 306, 307) with at least one metal film layer and an additional layer, comprising the steps of: defining an inner peripheral edge portion (8) of the at least two-layer material (1, 2; 301, 302, 306, 307), which is spaced apart from a circumferential limiting edge of the at least two-layer material (1, 2; 301, 302, 306, 307) via an outer peripheral edge portion (9); displacing the fixed inner peripheral edge portion (8) and an folding element (14) relative to each other in order to angle the outer peripheral edge portion (9) against the inner peripheral edge portion (8) such that the inner peripheral edge portion (8) and the outer peripheral edge portion (9) form an angle of about 90° or less between them; and folding over the outer peripheral edge portion (9) against the inner peripheral edge portion (8) by means of a flanging element (17, 18, 21), so that the two portions (8, 9) bear substantially at least in sections against one another. According to the inventive method, a simplified method for flanging of an at least two-layer material is specified. According to further secondary aspects of the invention, a method for producing a pocket for a pouch battery and a method for producing a temperature control unit are specified. Furthermore, a pouch battery comprising a bag made of an at least two-layer material as well as a temperature control unit made of an at least two-layer material (1, 2; 301, 302, 306, 307) with at least one metal film layer and an additional layer are specified. |
