PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens camera having different zoom ratios without mechanically changing a lens barrel and a camera body. SOLUTION: This zoom lens camera is equipped with a zoom lens L, a zoom encoder circuit 35 outputting a zoom code corresponding to the present position of the lens L, and an EEPROM 31 for storing telephoto designated data for designating the moving limit position of the lens L in a telephoto direction. When a CPU 10 judges that the lens L reaches a position coincident with the telephoto designated data according to input from the circuit 35 in the case of zooming the lens L in the telephoto direction, it stops the zooming of the lens L so as to regulate the zooming in the telephoto direction from the moving limit position designated according to the telephoto designated data.
