<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the degradation in display grade due to vertical stripes without increasing the cost of circumferential circuits. <P>SOLUTION: The display device has a plurality of pixels 1 arrayed in a matrix. Each set of the pixels 1 has two sets of picture elements 1a and 1b including the picture elements 2, 3 and 4 of three colors.
