#CMT# #/CMT# The joint has a metallic press-fitting (1) having a ring bulge (2.1) with a sealing unit (3.1), and a cylindrical section (4.1). A larger annular gap (14) is formed in an overlapping area between a conduit pipe (5) and the section by increasing an inner diameter of the press-fitting after insertion of the pipe. A sleeve-shaped sealing unit (3.2) is arranged in the gap in the area at a direct impacting area of press flanges (10). The dimension for radial extending of the gap is selected to be 0.2 millimeter depending on an overlapping length between the pipe and the section. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Press-fitted pipe joint. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The flexible sealing unit is arranged in the annular gap in the overlapping area at the direct impacting area of the press flanges, thus preventing penetration of the liquid in the sealed gap area independent of the manufacturing tolerances of press fitting and pipe in a safe manner. The dimension for radial extending of the annular gap is selected to be 0.2 millimeter depending on the overlapping length between the pipe and the cylindrical section, thus guaranteeing sufficient rinsing effect of the gap in a simple and cost-effective manner.
