PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which is equipped with a leakage-proof wall excellent in leakage-proofness and dispenses with another member. SOLUTION: This absorbent article comprises: a pair of first leakage-proof walls which contain a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-impermeable back sheet and a core superposed between the top sheet and the back sheet, and are provided at both the side edges of the core, respectively; and a pair of second leakage-proof walls which are provided outside the first leakage-proof walls. At least two folded portions are provided along the longitudinal direction of both the side edges of the cover sheet which is provided on the skin non-abutting surface side of the back sheet, so that the first leakage-proof wall can be formed on a width-direction inside and so that the second leakage-proof wall can be formed on a width-direction outside. Since both edges of the back sheet are held in a sandwiched state by the folded portions of the first leakage-proof walls, the absorbent article has the excellent leakage-proofness and dispenses with another member.
