PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil treatment apparatus capable of separatorily removing gravel along with crushing soil lumps in soil, and capable of adjusting a seeding bed at a given thickness despite being of inexpensive and simple construction. SOLUTION: The soil treatment apparatus comprises a main body frame 2, a soil-digging mechanism 3, a guide roller 4 for controlling digging depth, a soil treatment conveyor 6 for separatorily removing gravel after crushing dug soil lumps, a traction mechanism 7 joined via upper and lower link units to the front end of the main body frame 2, a hydraulic cylinder 8 functioning to vertically move the front end of the main body frame 2 relative to the traction mechanism 7, and a hydraulic control mechanism 9 functioning to control the hydraulic pressure in a hydraulic cylinder 8 to apply, to the main body frame 2, the upward force equivalent to the weight of this apparatus 1, part of the apparatus 1's deadweight, onto the guide roller 4, to keep the guide roller 4 at a position so as not to sink into a levee.
