<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component mounting apparatus capable of certainly associating feeder information attached to a component supply unit with component information attached to a supply reel. <P>SOLUTION: Feeder information on the component supply unit carrying new storage tapes is read with a bar code scanner, and is input to a computer, which obtains the corresponding pattern information based on the feeder information from a server to compare pattern information corresponding to a component serial number corresponding to the currently read feeder information with the previous pattern information. When both pieces of information are different, the computer stores the latest pattern information on an internal memory of the computer. Component information consisting of the component IDs and the storage quantity of new storage tapes is read and input to the computer, which formats the component information into the data arrangement corresponding to the latest pattern information and extracts the formatted component information to determine its contents.
