<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To derive an intended optimum phrase even if it is difficult to decide one word depending on the semantic meaning or attribute of phrases. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises a translation dictionary retrieval part 102 which retrieves a second language phrase to be paired with a first language phrase from a translation dictionary part 103; a learning history database 106 registering how many times the second language phrase has been substituted with the first language phrase by a translator; a learning condition database 107 registering conditions on whether to substitute the second language phrase by the translator; and a translation selection processing part 105 which selects, when a plurality of second language phrases to be paired with the first language phrase are retrieved in the translation dictionary retrieval part, the most suitable second language phrase based on the number of substitutions of second language phrase in the learning history database and the conditions in the learning condition database. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
