<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag capable of reducing the pressure loss while inflating and deploying the airbag, an airbag device capable of efficiently demonstrating the shock absorbing force of the airbag device according to the physique of an occupant, and an airbag exhausting method. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag device comprises a gas generator 1 for generating gas under a predetermined condition, an airbag 2 connected to the gas generator 1 and inflated and deployed, and a retainer 3 for storing the airbag 2. The airbag 2 comprises a projecting part 4 forming an outwardly projecting part on a part of the airbag 2, a vent hole 5 formed in the projecting part 4, a strap 6 with one end thereof being connected to the projecting part 4 and the other end thereof being connected to the inside of the airbag 2, and a through hole 7 for guiding the other end of the strap 6 to the inside of the airbag 2.
