Disclosed are a positive electrode active material for a lithium sulfur battery, a producing method thereof, and a lithium sulfur battery comprising the same. The positive electrode active material for a lithium sulfur battery comprises: a core including a plurality of hollow units and consisting of a first carbon-based material where a sulfur compound is impregnated in the hollow units; and a coating layer which is formed on an outer circumference surface of the core and consists of a second carbon-based material including the hollow units.
