<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiping device, of intaglio printing machine, equipped with a mechanism for cooling and drying the surface of a wiping roller. <P>SOLUTION: This wiping device of intaglio printing machine is equipped with a doctor blade which scrapes a wiping liquid off on the surface of the cleaned wiping roller, in an elevated region above the liquid level, after cleaning the wiping roller with the wiping liquid in a wiping tank while rotating the wiping roller in such a state that the lower half part of the wiping roller is soaked in a cleaning liquid inside a wiping tank. After scraping the wiping liquid off on the surface of the wiping roller, using the doctor blade, an air jet device mounted on the wiping device of the intaglio printing machine operates to cool and/or dry the surface of the wiping roller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
