A logical interface is used to facilitate the exchange of information between a first radio network and a second network. The logical interface is realized by utilizing the user plane of the core network architecture to transmit information from the first radio network to the second radio network. Once the information is received by the second radio network, the second radio network determines at least one threshold value, which is sent to a user equipment device in communication with the second radio network. Upon receiving the at least one threshold value, the user equipment device can make traffic routing decisions, based on the at least one threshold value and other network-related parameters. |
